Anne was a teacher for more than two decades in San Diego, CA. She was also an actress, director, producer, playwright and peace activist throughout her 85 years, always fighting for the rights of disenfranchised and impoverished peoples. She was an actress her whole life, performing at The Old Globe Theatre Shakespeare Festival and Cassius Carter Center Stage in San Diego, CA as well as the Ashland, OR Shakespeare Festival among others.
She is survived by daughter Kathleen Rainwater of AZ, sister Patricia Ulm of El Cajon, CA, grandson Tony Archer and his daughter Sidney Archer of Monument, CO, and her dear friend Crystal Van Horn of Clifton, NJ. Anne's former students across the nation, including graphic artist Mimi Pond, and actors Dale Turner, Annette Bening and Brian Stokes Mitchell, also mourn her loss.
