Edgar was born on March 1, 1934 in Ranger, Tx to O’Dell and Dorothy Winchell Haltom. He was married to Glenda Wooddell on July 6, 1956.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda, a daughter, Pam Chavez, a son Dell Haltom and wife, Angela all of Loraine.
He has four granddaughters, Amber Shy, Nikki Reeves, Ryan Gordon, and Calli Haltom, as well as one grandson, Cody Haltom., as well as seven great grandsons and one great granddaughter.
He is also survived by one sister Anita Hoover or Winthrop, Arkansas and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, one brother, Calvin Haltom, an infant son Eddie Glen Haltom, and a son in law Ralph Chavez.
A graveside service for Edgar will be held at the Loraine Cemetery on Sunday, February 3rd at 2pm. Edgar will be in state at Kiker Seale Funeral Home on Sunday from 8 am until 1pm.
