She was born in Colorado City, Texas on March 10, 1947 to John Douglas and Novis Faye Moore Koon.
Sharon was an excellent business woman who took pride in working hard her entire life. After school she started working as a beautician and later in life spent over 30 years as the owner of Sharon’s Bail Bonds in Lubbock. Sharon was a great mother and grandmother who enjoyed raising children and spending time with her family. After raising her own children she was there for them whenever they needed her even helping to raise some of her grandchildren. In her spare time she loved to travel on vacation with her family, going shopping, and trying new restaurants.
Sharon is survived by her husband Michael Blythe of Lubbock, a son Larry Frazier of Lubbock, daughters Amanda Tedford of Colorado City and Stacey Richardson of Lubbock, as well as by her grandchildren Ashley Brooks of Big Spring, Trey Loyola and wife Michelle of Wichita Falls, Amber Fisk and husband Daniel of Colorado City, Erich Frazier of Lubbock, and Justin Blythe of Lubbock, and by 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Janie Dyer and husband Tim of Midland and by several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Faye Koon, by a granddaughter Kimberley Benitez, and by a sister Lana Koon.
A funeral service for Sharon will be held on Saturday, January 27th at 2pm in the Kiker Seale Funeral Home Chapel in Colorado City with Danny Williams officiating, burial will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery.
The family will be present for a visitation on Friday, January 26th from 5-7 pm at Kiker Seale Funeral Home
