James Robert Lee, 71, of Colorado City, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 in Abilene. He was born on December 11, 1951 in Loraine, TX to the late George Manual Lee, Sr. and Estelle Prewitt Lee. James was the former manager at Hurst Farm Equipment and was a huge Texas Tech Red Raider fan.
He is survived by a son, Joshua Lee of Colorado City; daughter, Jessica Vergara and husband Marcus of Levelland; grandchildren, Mayce Durrett and husband Kendall, Max Vergara, George Lee, Brandon Lee and Collin Lee; great grandchildren, Kye and Kambree Durrett; three brothers, George Lee, Jr. and wife Faye, Jay Lee and wife Charlotte and John Lee and wife Ann; partner, Teresa Lemonds. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Janessa D’Lyn Lee.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, September 1, 2023 at the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Loraine Cemetery.
