He was born on December 1, 1968 in Van Horn, Texas to Arturo R and Irma Urias Melendez.
Eduardo was a family man who enjoyed working. He was a graduate of Colorado High School and spent his life working in the oil field as a laborer. Those that knew him knew that he was a huge fan of sports, especially the Tennessee Titans and Notre Dame Football, both of which he kept track of. He was the oldest of 46 grandchildren on his mother’s side and often times his younger cousins would refer to him as Uncle Eduardo as opposed to being their cousin. Aside from watching sports Eduardo enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and occasionally drawing. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Eduardo is survived by his daughters Shealea and Esperanza Melendez of Moffit Colorado, by his parents Arturo and Irma Melendez of Colorado City, by a brother Gerardo Melendez of Round Rock, by a sister Aurora Melendez of Colorado City, and by a niece Victoria Melendez and a nephew Christian Melendez both of Colorado City, as well as by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
