Richard was born on December 22, 1959 in Camden, NJ to Walter and Regina (Slovinsky) Skotnicki.
Richard was an avid sports fan but his enduring love for the LA Rams football team was unwavering, no matter what city they played for. He also enjoyed his time going to the Camden River Sharks games with his brother and nephews when they were still playing. He could also be found spending countless hours engrossed in his Sudoku books.
A true jack of all trades, Richard was always ready to lend a hand, whether it was working on cars or tackling home improvement projects for family and friends or taking his great-great niece back and forth to school every day. You could always count on Uncle Richie to be there when you called him for a helping hand.
Richard also cherished his time at the VFW hall in Somerdale, where he enjoyed playing shuffleboard and sharing drinks with the regulars.
Richard’s spirit of kindness and love for those he cared about will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Francis, Walter, John and Ronald Skotnicki, he is survived by his sisters, Carol Drazek (William), Kathleen Skotnicki and Susan Martelli (John); a brother, Charles; along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and even a few great-great nieces and nephews. He will also be greatly missed by his best friend Eddie Diaz.
Visitation for family and friends will take place on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Blake-Doyle Funeral Home, 226 W. Collings Ave., Collingswood, NJ 08108.
