She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Raymond Heckman Sr.; children: Raymond Heckman Jr. (Kristi), Paul Heckman (Nicole) and devoted granddaughters, Mackenzie and Maggie. She is also survived by her sisters Barbara Welsh and Catherine Dunn (Jay), as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Mary was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish; St. John Church in Collingswood. Her greatest joy in life was her family and especially granddaughters with whom she developed strong bonds with. She was their biggest fan, cheerleader and confidant. Mary and her husband Ray loved to visit Ocean City boardwalk and other various beaches together. Mary was kind, generous and endlessly supportive to those around her. Her warm and loving nature inspired her children’s friends and others to lovingly refer to her as Mom-Mom. She will be missed by all who love her.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish; St John Church, 809 Park Avenue, Collingswood, NJ 08108 on Tuesday October 12, 2021 at 11:00 am. Interment immediately to follow in Gates of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin, NJ.
