The family of Judy Sanders Daniel, age 85, sadly announces that she passed away at her home in Collierville on July 22,2023. She was born July 06, 1938 in Milan, Tennessee to Sam and Lucille Sanders. She grew up in Milan, TN and graduated from Milan High school in 1956, and attended college at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She retired from Thyssen-Krupp Elevator Company, formerly known as Dover Elevator Company, where she served as executive assistant to the president for many years, and was awarded Secretary of the Year for Memphis, in 1982.
She was active in several local churches including Germantown Presbyterian, Germantown Baptist, and Graceland Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Frick, her son Douglas Daniel, Jr., her parents Sam and Lucille Sanders, her sister Bobbie Holmes Belew, her brothers Jack Holmes and Raney Holmes.
She is survived by her daughters Lisa Daniel and Lauren Hearne, her granddaughters Jessica Hearne and Laurabel Hearne, her great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Hearne, her niece Donna Abbott, and many beloved family members including: William Hearne, Dorothy Dougherty, Anne and AL Black, Beverly Lax, Jeff and Lisa Sanders, Melinda Bradley, Brent Black,Cindy Black, Brian Black, Sherri Spain Huddleston, Jerry Spain, Sarah Montgomery, Maddelyn Montgomery, Natalie Hearne, Alexis Swanson, and many other close friends.
Her family invites you to join them at a Memorial Service to be held Saturday August 12, 3:00 p.m. at Collierville Funeral Home, 3863 Bailey Station, Collierville, Tennessee. A visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m.
Gifts in memory of Mrs. Daniel may be offered to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or March of Dimes.
