John Carlo Croce, age 35, of Collierville, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024. John was a graduate of Houston High School and received his Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Mississippi in Oxford in 2011. He was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and served as the Internal Vice President and Treasurer. When John wasn’t attending an Ole Miss or Titans football game, he could be found watching sports on ESPN or jumping out of any airplane from drop zones located throughout the world.
John’s true passion was skydiving, and he gave much to the sport. He started jumping at 16 years old, and, in time, accumulated over 4300 jumps including several HALO jumps. John held skydiving license D-30072, a “D” License being the highest license issued. He also held Coach, Tandem, and AFF-I ratings, which are the instructional ratings. John was an excellent instructor, and his enthusiasm affected all his skydiving students and all the other skydivers, wherever he went. His smile and good nature will be sorely missed by all his skydiving friends and students.
John was the kindest person in any room and was always wearing a smile. We could go around the world many times over and not find a better son, brother, and friend. John will truly be missed by all who crossed his path. John was preceded in death by his grandfathers Giovanni Croce and Peter Filpi and his grandmother Cynthia Croce. He is survived by Geraldine Filpi (grandmother), Rosalyn Croce (mother), Christopher Croce (father), Jami Croce (stepmother), and his siblings, Annie Croce, Finley Croce, and Luke Croce.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the Catholic Church of the Incarnation, 360 Bray Station Rd, Collierville, TN 38017. Immediately followed by a Celebration of Life at Maple Grove Farm, 4961 Windsong Park Drive, Collierville, TN 38017.
