I am Scott and Kristine's neighbor Graydon Wall. While I cannot say that Scott and I were close as some of you can; I cannot think of a time where they have not been the best of neighbors. I came home one time to find that he with two of our other neighbors, repaired our fence. Never asked about it, just did it. So thankful, or the countless times Scott would be out mowing Stan's lawn across the street as well as other neighbors. Scott was always a friend to anyone I had ever seen him meet and easy to be a friend to. There is a proverb that goes like this:  There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Scott was this to many, and he will be sorely missed because of it.

Scott was one of my managers when I worked at the Star-Telegram.  He was so kind and patient.  He always shared a smile and words of wisdom.    He was a happy person, which is indicative of a happy home life.   He spoke often of his love for his wife and daughters.  He was a good family man, a good human and lastly, a good boss.  He will be missed.  My sincere condolences to his family.  I hope you feel God's love and peace during this difficult time.

Scott was good friend to all those who came to know him...always up for a good time or lend a hand to those who may need it. I knew Scott during my time whe working at Screenvision where our group became family outside of family...we laughed,  we worked, we cried, we hada few cocktails and most importantly,  we stuck together.  Scotty, you will be deeply missed by those who worked with you & those who may not have, of course your loving family who is missing you the most.  May we remember the good times & let your spirit & smile live on in our memories.

Sorry to hear about Scott. My thoughts go out to Scott's wife and daughters as well as the rest of the family. The memories of growing up in Rochelle together are flooding back.  May God wrap his arms around you all now and forever. 

Prayers to the Patrick family. Scotty was a special person with a huge and warm heart. After spending a short time with him you felt like you had a life long friend. Mr. and Mrs Patrick showed and taught all of their children kindness and love and they shared that with countless many. There are many hearts breaking, including mine. Maybe we can find some solace in knowing Scottys positive, exuberant outlook on life led him to enjoy every moment of it. Rest in Peace friend.

I have been struggling to the find the right words ever since I heard of Scott’s passing…I must have started at least 5 posts/messages and just could not get through it.  Pretty certain this does not do him justice….

I am saddened to my core over the loss of such a great boss, manager and true friend!  

I started working with Scott around 14 years ago at the Star-Telegram and once he settled in at Screenvision Media, I quickly got a call “ Jen, it’s Paco….you have to come work for me”!  It was an easy Yes!   Scott aka Paco had a special way of motivating people and bringing out their strengths!   As a friend, I could always count on him to make me laugh, give honest advice and he always genuinely cared how me/my family were doing!   He truly lit up when he talked about Kristine, Ashley & Abbey!  Ladies, I am so sorry to each of you for ur loss.

Paco, I feel so very grateful & blessed to have had your friendship and all the great memories we made!  You will forever be remembered with love!  You are gone way too soon and the world definitely feels a little empty without you here!

Scott was my first boss after my internship at the Star Telegram. He was so funny and honest but also a wonderful leader who taught me the little things (like keeping my desk clean and how to organize my files). I was fresh out of college and had never sold a thing in my life and Scott make me feel like I could do anything. As long as I never said "try" because, "trying is lying". And I say that to my daughter now. :) He left an impression on me and my professional life that I will never forget. And now his legacy will live on as we all stop trying and start doing. All my love and courage to his family and loved ones. 

I am grateful to have known Scott. We worked together on the VP team at Screenvision. We had VP trips and at dinner Scott would whip out his phone and share pictures of Kristine and his girls. He made us all laugh and always had positive vibes. We love him dearly. Kristine, you and the girls are in my prayers. 

Kristine, I am so sorry to hear about Scott. We worked together at the Post. He was so fun to work with. You and your girls are in my prayers.

Scott has been an integral part for most of my life. From growing up together in Rochelle, to convincing him he should go to college in Texas and endure 16-hour road trips together, to then convincing him again to transfer to another college in Texas because “Why not?” I witnessed countless times his unique gift of being able to turn a complete stranger into a close friend. I will miss the rounds of golf, reminiscing over old stories and most of all I will miss his laugh, which thankfully I can still hear clearly in my mind. He was a great friend, roommate and fraternity brother, but I know the roles he loved the most were that of husband and father. Kristine, Ashley, Abbey and the Patrick family, the entire Kassul family has all of you in our thoughts and prayers. He was such a positive presence in everyone’s life that we will all miss.  Scotty until we tee it up again…Love & Respect, brother.

Scott was one of the best managers I have ever had.  He was also a wonderful advice giver when I became a step-mom.  I can't imagine what Kristine, Ashley and Abby are going through, but my heart goes out to them as they weather this storm.  He is in a happy place, but I know how hard it is to lose a parent.  Wishing the family peace. 

I had the pleasure of working with Scott for 3 years during our time together at Screenvision. 

Scott was a huge part of our very close management team, he not only contributed financially to the success of the management team but more importantly he become a great friend to us all.

Scott will be missed by all of us. My heart goes out to his wife Kristine and also Abbey and Ashley. We have lost a great friend but they have lost so much more.

Scott was a huge part of my life growing up. I have many fond memories of spending time at his house, as do many of his friends. It was always such a welcoming place, so much fun. Scott was one of my best friends then. Always a great person. I have no doubt that he was an awesome husband, father, and friend to all.  Although we didn't keep in touch over the years, which I regret deeply, I have no doubt that he had a positive impact on all he knew.

We’ll miss you forever Scott.  You were always a pleasure to know and work with.  You were a rare breed my friend and God will love having you with him.

Kristine, there are no words I can share that will make you feel better after your tragic loss of your best friend and husband.  Please know that Staci and I are deeply sorry for your family's loss.  We pray to the Good Lord that he guides you and your girls (the extended Patrick and Nelson families too) through these uncharted waters.

Scott pledged ATO while at WT in Canyon and made an excellent Brother.  Always had a smile to give and motivated all us w his friendship.   He was also active as a reported for the WT newspaper giving friends acknowledgement for their achievements.
