Ronald W. Wilson II (Ron) of Fort Worth, Texas went home to the loving arms of our Lord, Jesus Christ on August 20 after succumbing to COVID-19 Delta Variant. He died peacefully surrounded by family. He was 86. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, Paw Paw, Grandpa and Gramps.
Ron was born in Toledo, Ohio to Marion and Ruth George. Ron’s work career included being a Fireman and a Police Officer in both Ohio and Texas. Ron was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of Masonic Rubicon Lodge # 237 in Waterville, OH, Zenobia Shiners of Northwest Ohio (Zenobia Motorcycle Escort), Hella Shrine in Garland, TX, Texas Baptist Men Church Builders, Gideons International and a Deacon at South Hills Baptist Church. Ron was quite the volunteer which included VITAS Hospice, Sherman, TX, Texoma Healthcare System, Denison, TX and Baylor Scott and White in Waco, TX, Christian Community Assistance of Fort Worth, Meals on Wheels and held Bible Study for Trinity Courtyard in Fort Worth.
Ron was a caring and loyal husband to his wife of 38 years, Carol A. Wilson. They shared many mutual interests including their love for spending time with their grandchildren, antiquing, attending estate sales, cheering for various women’s college softball and basketball teams, traveling the country, and playing Mexican Train with friends.
Most of all, Ron will be remembered for being an incredibly loving and supportive father, grandfather, and friend. His greatest pride in life was his family including his four children, their spouses, his seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was a loyal and dependable friend and had many long-lasting friendships.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Daniel Rains and stepson Randy Wilton. He is survived by his wife, Carol A. Wilson of Fort Worth, his son Ronald W. Wilson III and wife Denise of Swanton, OH, his daughter Pamela Rains and husband Daniel of Holland, OH, his daughter Aimee Wilson of League City, TX, his son Andrew Wilson and wife Abigail of Godley, TX, his grandchildren Jamie Ginger, Deanna Wilson, Shannon Litton, Aidyn and Allyson Wilson, Jett Wilson, great grandchildren, Alison and Dylan Grantham, Kendal Wilson-Graff, Haley, Riley and Kiley Wilson, Allyssa and Jason Litton, Charles Rains, his great-great grandson Emmett Rayoum, brother Jim Wilson of Toldeo, OH and stepson Rusty Wilton of Alto, TX.
Visitation will be held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 9:00 to 10:00 am. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, followed by the interment at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
