She was born in Panama Canal zone at Fort Clayton Army base to Kenneth Boatman and Marcine Reid on December 23, 1951. Patricia grew up in Abilene, Texas. She married Tom Lankford and moved to Omaha, Nebraska. She was active in O.M.A.H.A. youth ice hockey. Patricia was inducted as a lifetime member in 1995. She moved back to Texas in 2005 after the death of her husband Tom. She lived in Mexia, Texas on the lake. She taught at Crockett ISD where she was loved by her students and faculty.
Patricia especially enjoyed reading books about history and Abraham Lincoln.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; mother, Marcine Reid; and brother, Terry C. Boatman.
She is survived by her daughter, Amanda; son-in-law, Mario Lopez; and grandson, Eli.
Her son, Matthew Lankford; daughter-in-law, Theresa; and grandsons, Kyle and Adam.
Son, Robert J. Lankford; daughter-in-law, Courtney; and grandchildren, Jadz, David, Ashton, and Brianna.
Her father, Kenneth Boatman and his wife, Loida.
Her sisters, Mary Rose; brother-in-law, Rob; and nephews, Jared and Brandon; Sister, Leah Boatman; Yvette Boatman and sons; Laura A. Smith.
Brother, Kenny Boatman; sister-in-law, Lisa and their three girls.
A visitation for Patricia Lankford will be held Monday, January 19, between the hours of 12:00PM - 1:45PM with a graveside service at 2:00PM. Visitation and interment will be held under auspices of Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, Texas 76034.
