Myrl “MeMe” Anderson Parker age 96, of Decatur, Tx passed way on April 11, 2024 with her loving family by her side. We are rejoicing knowing she has been reunited in heaven with her sons, Henry Michael Hale and Carl Edward Hale, Jr.
MeMe was born in Harrisonburg, La where she found her love for basketball. She played in high school and after school for the Southwestern Bell & Coca Cola teams. MeMe lived life to the fullest, always willing to throw on her red shoes, jump in the car and get us "Hale Girls" anything we wanted, she was our ride or die. She was a big Dallas Mavericks, and Texas Rangers fan. She was a great cook, had a great laugh, and a smile that lit up the room. Meme loved gospel & country music, and loved to dance. She was a member of Alliance Community Fellowship, and loved her church family very dearly.
MeMe is survived by her loving husband, VC “Peepaw” Parker, her grandchildren Kristi & Chris Stevens, Mikey & Michael Spencer, and Jessica & Brian O’Banion, her great-grand children: Karson and Tate Graziano, Elle Tripp and Justin Rhine aka Jason, Reagan and Cameron Keller, Jonathan Taylor, Connor O’Banion, Logan Spencer and Cole O’Banion.
Meme was blessed to also share Peepaw’s children Cathy & Ronnie McDowell and Claudia & Short Winters, and his now deceased sons Jeff Parker & Mike Simpson. They gave her grandchildren Heath & Melissa McDowell, Heather Addicks, Angela Winters & Nick Samac, Ashley & Matt Greenwald, great grand children- Whitney & Chad Seybert, Tyler & Kelsey McDowell, Sammantha Ries, Shelbey & Ian Giles, Mason & Ekko Phillips, Amber Phillips, Nola, Lael, and Elan Greenwald and great-great grand children Caydence & Laika Seybert, Eden & Hudson McDowell, Natalie Phillips, Leighton, Phoenix , Bryleigh Giles, and Ryleigh, Landree & Maverick Phillips.
