Mr. Kendall Allen Lock

Kendall Lock was born in Austin, Texas on May 14, 1967. Kendall died unexpectedly on July 14, 2023 doing what he loved most, traveling with his family. Kendall’s generosity knew no bounds. His zest for life knew no limits. The love for his family has no end. Kendall leaves behind a devoted group of friends and family who are forever united by the magic he brought to their lives.

Kendall spent twenty eight years at IBM innovating and revolutionizing their cloud computing services. Many of the technologies we use every day are a product of Kendall’s ingenuity and hard work. He continued his career at American Airlines where he was Vice President of Airline Operations Technology. He oversaw system development to support the airline's operation and employees. He managed information technology support for flight operations, flight crews, maintenance and engineering.

Family and friends will describe him as kind, generous, but most especially, funny. If you were blessed enough to spend time in Kendall’s company, you laughed possibly harder than you ever have. He wasn’t just funny, but competitively funny. If you made him laugh, he was going to make you laugh harder. Period. He brought a grace and spirit to people that made them better. He was the consummate mentor. The lessons he imparted changed lives. He believed in working hard, but that it was equally important to make sure and enjoy life to its fullest. Don't waste one single moment.

Kendall was a family man first. Kendall and DeNissa were true partners in every sense of the word. They loved each other with their complete and whole hearts. They were blessed with and raised two amazing sons together, Conner and Preston. The boys were treated as partners in their lives and adventures and were given great respect for their thoughts, questions and opinions. This came with the high expectations of being a valued “Team Lock” member. Kendall put masterful effort in making sure each son had a unique and inspired relationship with him.

Kendall got up everyday and steadfastly did the right thing to the best of his extraordinary capability.

What Kendall brought to our lives is what we are left with — pure magic, a true blessing from God. A wise man said, “people only die if we forget them”. If that’s the case, Kendall will live with us forever.

Services for Kendall will be held Monday, July 24th at 11:00 am at White’s Chapel Methodist Church 185 S White Chapel Blvd Southlake, TX 76092.

Kendall is survived by his wife of 32 years DeNissa Lock and their sons Conner and Preston; his parents George and Alba Lock; brother Kyle and wife Holly and their sons Asher and Harper all of Raleigh North Carolina; mother and father-in-law Dennis and Cherita Goodman of Mansfield, Texas; brother-in-law Darren and his wife Devin, their children Jack and Morgan all of Grapevine, Texas.
