Mr. John R. Hum

John was born in Cerić, Yugoslavia in 1932 to Franz Humm and Maria Lutz Humm.

He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, friend and companion to all that knew and loved him. Although he only went to school through 8th grade he became a mechanist after completing trade school. He was a "jack" of all trades and if he could take it apart he could rebuild it. Some of John's hobbies consisted of painting, pottery, wood crafting and he loved to travel. He eventually retired from American Airlines in 1996 after 28 years of service.

John is survived by his Daughter Martina Hum, Son Peter Hum, and grandchildren, Kadance, Regini, Jared and little Olivia Gill. John was loving and devoted to his companion, Pree.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Anna Louise Hum, sisters Anna Konig (Hum) and Katharina Schwarzli (Hum).

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home from 9AM to 10AM. A graveside service will follow at 10AM in the Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Arboretum in Dallas, Texas.
