Joan D. Gibson, of Bedford, TX, passed away on March 2, 2020 in Arlington, TX. She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother to all that knew and loved her. She was born on January 10, 1933 in Okmulgee, OK to Homer and Opal (Murray) Emerson. Joan is survived by her children, Billy Gibson and wife, Patricia Gibson, Michael Gibson, Samuel Gibson and wife, Sandra Gibson and Shelly Johnson and husband, Rick Johnson; grandchildren, Breanna Nowlin, Amanda Nowlin, Natasha Freeman and husband, Nick Freeman, Amber Watts and husband, Steven Watts, Victoria Stewart and husband, Nick Stewart, Ethan Johnson and Holly Gibson; great grandchildren, Tyler Hall, Samuel Stewart and Hanna Gibson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Opal Ruth Murray and father, Homer Emerson, husband, Billy Joe Gibson and grandsons, John Eric Gibson and Sean Patrick McCune and Drake.
