Beloved husband of 34 years to Dr. Geri (Revitte) Brown and loving father to Grant Brown. Gordon is survived by his son Grant, brother Greg Brown (Brenda), and sister Beverly Roemer of Columbia MO . He was preceded in death by his father Ivan Brown, his mother Pauline Brown, and his wife Dr. Geri Brown.
He was born in Springfield, Missouri in 1941 and was raised in Joplin, MO. Gordon graduated from Joplin Senior High School and received Business Degrees from Missouri Southern State College and Kansas State College of Pittsburg. He served six years in the Army National Guard, and was proud to have earned his private pilot license. Gordon and Geri were married in Fort Worth, TX in 1982.
Gordon worked in the offices of Tri-State Motor Transit early in his career, and later became an insurance agent in the greater Fort Worth area from the late 1990’s to 2022, much of that time working alongside his brother Greg.
Gordon enjoyed watercolor painting, photography, golfing, and playing tennis. He cheered on the Rangers for many years, and especially cherished vacations at the beach with Geri and Grant.
Gordon was a loving, selfless, and supportive father and husband. He was a kind and creative person, with a wry sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all.

A visitation for Gordon will be held Monday, June 3, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034. A funeral service will occur Monday, June 3, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034. A committal service will occur Monday, June 3, 2024 3:00 PM in the Memorial Park.
