Ann Ahlquist Rhudy, 87, a retired Federal Aviation Administration Secretary, died on November 10, 2017. Ann was a resident of Colleyville for 48 years. A memorial service in celebration of Ann will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rocky Mountain Nature Association RMNP, Estes Park, Colorado 80517; Luther College, 1500 Royal Street, Regina, SK S4TSA5 Canada. Ann Rhudy was a member of Loners on Wheels and Good Sam Loners on Wheels, order of Eastern Star. She was born April 3, 1930 in Admiral Saskatchewan Canada. She attended Luther College, Regina, Sask., and Durham’s Business College, San Antonio, Texas. She immigrated to the U.S. in 1949 with her family. Ann retired from Federal Aviation Administration with 34 years of service. She also worked for industry for 12 years and for the Air Force for 10 years. Ann married Lee Rhudy October 10, 1953 in San Antonio and their son James was born November of 1963. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Gust and Myrtle Ahlquist, her sister, Muriel Ahlquist and her husband, Birdwell Lee Rhudy. Survivors: Son, James Rhudy of Colleyville, TX; sister-in-laws, Lois Hargrave, Joyce Mosely, and Cathy Rhudy; brother-in-law, Huey Rhudy and numerous nieces and nephews.
