Clarence Edward Moody

Clarence Edward (Eddie) Moody, 62, from Grapevine passed away in Waco on April 25, 2019 at Baylor, White & Scott Hospital. Born May 27, 1956 in Alexandria, Virginia. He is preceded in death by his father Charles Elton Moody and mother Alma Virgina Yowell. He will be dearly missed by his wife Sherri Moody. His son Scott Moody and daughter Kristi Sarvadi; son-in-law Brandon Sarvadi and grandchildren Asher and Alexis. He also leaves behind his brother Ron Moody and his wife Mandy, brother Charles Moody, brother Alvin Moody and his wife Shanna, sister Glenda and her husband Cardell Tobin. Also, sister-in-law Dana Goeggel and her husband Richard. Along with numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family.

Pallbearers are: Randy Coy, Ray Curts, Clay Davis, Richard Goeggel, Jerry Graves, JT Reeves, Mike Sarvadi and Chris Sarvadi. Honorary Pallbearers: Jerry Baker and Art Pierce.

Clarence moved to Dallas in 1975 and married Sherri on his birthday in 1978, and last year they celebrated their 40th Anniversary. Clarence known by his nickname “Eddie” started his career in 1976 as a tow truck driver. After years of dedication, hard work, and persistence he was able to eventually run his own company now known as Ron’s Towing Inc. in Dallas Texas for over 30 years. After he and Sherri purchased it from his brother Ron and sister-in-law Mandy while working with his other two brothers Al and Chuck and his sister-in-law Cathy for many years becoming one of the largest and oldest towing services in Dallas-Fort Worth Area. Clarence was one of the hardest working people you would meet and was committed to his business. He was always there to do what was necessary to take care of his customers and employees. His dedication to his work and his family shows the kind of grit and determination that is required to be a successful entrepreneur.

He had a kind heart that touched so many lives in a positive way. Most people know Clarence the nicest and most caring man that always tried to help people in any way he could. He enjoyed going to the Nascar Races and watching TV including Old Western movies, WWE, America’s Funniest Videos and crime solving mysteries. Traveling with the family was important to him throughout the years and making memories. Clarence enjoyed life to the fullest. He didn’t let anything stop him from doing things in life he wanted to do and fought hard for many years regarding his health. Being a father and spending time with his kids and playing with his grandchildren were the most important things to him. We will remember and miss him forever.
