Ms. Carol Ann English-Rieger

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our beautiful mother, Carol English-Rieger, on Monday October 23, 2023. She grew up in Corsicana, TX and graduated from Corsicana High School in 1957. After marrying Roe English, they moved to the Dallas area in 1959. She was a strong, vivacious woman who was full of life. In addition to being a dedicated mom and wife, she worked in the insurance industry her entire career. Upon retirement, Carol turned her lifelong hobby, playing bridge, into a full time endeavor. For years she managed two Bridge studios, one in Richardson and the other in Rockwall. Bridge was truly a passion she had throughout her life. She also loved spending time in the mountains, especially Lake City, Colorado.

She was most passionate about her family. Family was the most important thing to her. She was a dedicated and protective friend, sister, daughter, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her children, Mike English and Michell (John) Frederiksen, grandchildren, Ashlie and John R. Frederiksen, and sisters, Louise Clarkston and Robbie (Evan) Wallace.

We extend a very special thank you to Bill Staton for being such a special person to mom and loving her so much.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Gordon “Pete” Warner, and her husband Roe English.

A graveside service for Carol will be held Friday, November 3, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, Texas 76034.
