Being together as a family was a significant part of Brad’s life and who he was. Brad is survived by his wife, DeeDee, and his stepson, Austin. To spice things up a bit he had his four-legged children, Coco “Coco-Pop”, Duke “Duk-ie” and Bug, who have added to the family 5 years ago and who laid by his side until his final days. He is also survived by his siblings, Robin, Wren, Spike, and Tac, as well as nephew, Brandon, and niece, Lindsey.
Born in York, Pennsylvania, Brad was the baby of a family of 5 siblings. He would be upset when called the baby of the family but also loved being called “baby brother”. His mother Nita Arlene Britt would describe her son as “tough as nails”. This is where we begin to understand the unorthodox nature and true vibrance of Brad.
Brad was most recently the Technical Support Director at Mouser Electronics and was honored with a 25-year service award during a video call where many shared their experiences with Brad and his ability and willingness to guide and mentor others. During his nearly 26-year career at Mouser, people would describe him as being a problem solver, taking on various odd and difficult tasks that needed someone to assume ownership. Co-workers will always remember Brad as a mentor, a hard worker, and a friend. If anyone ever talked to him, they knew the pride he took in the company, and he would state proudly that he “bled Mouser blue”. Brad had a deep heart for all his employees, customers, and colleagues.
Brad began his career in the electronics world at only 19 years of age at Swieco Inc., shortly following his early years of home painting and remodeling. After Swieco, he held positions at other electronics distributors before joining Mouser on October 1, 1996, which became his greatest passion. Brad began his Mouser career in the Products organization, leading Mouser’s early entry into the semiconductor business as a Products Director. After Products, he assumed various roles within Mouser’s Sales organization where his knack for finding solutions to customer and supplier issues became his signature. Brad then joined the Technical Support team as Technical Support Director, leading a team of 16 in the quest of answering technical questions and solving technical issues with Mouser’s customers. Besides his Technical Support responsibilities, Brad also assisted with the process of evaluating and adding new suppliers to Mouser’s ever-growing line card.
