Memorial service: 3 p.m. Thursday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brett Smith, Scott Smith, Robert Smith, H. Bill Smith, Shahn Smith and Tony Pierce.
Barry was born Oct. 25, 1952, in Port Arthur to Herbert and Elizabeth Smith. He attended Coronado High School and later went to technical school in Kansas City, Kan., and Texas Tech. Barry had a very successful career in the beverage, wine and spirits industry for over 40 years, with the last 20 at Glazers. Barry had a lifelong passion for baseball and the Texas Rangers. He was raised Catholic and was a member of the Methodist Church with his wife and children. He was a dedicated husband and father.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Elizabeth Smith.
Survivors: Loving wife, Renee Smith; son, Scott Smith; son, Brett Smith and wife, Kelley; granddaughter, Paige Smith; and siblings, H. Bill Smith, Brenda Pierce and Robert Smith.
