We are confident she is in Throne Room now joining a thousand generations before her singing honor and praise to her beloved Creator and His Son, Jesus.
Ann was born February 8, 1930, in South Ozone Park, New York to her devoted and faithful parents Michael and Fay Manza.
Ann married Glenn L. Miller at St. Mary’s Gate of Heaven Church in Ozone Park, New York in 1951. Because of Glenn’s career with American Airlines, they moved to Texas in 1967 and enjoyed 67 years of marriage until Glenn’s passing in 2019. Ann and Glenn filled those years together raising 5 children, traveling, and supporting and loving each other through good times and bad. They were blessed with four grandsons and two precious great-granddaughters.
Ann was a homemaker who enjoyed making large Italian dinners for her family which usually featured the lasagna recipe that was handed down to her by her mother. We all savored her famous Cheese Soup every Christmas Eve and marveled over her dessert spreads at any family function!
Ann’s biggest and brightest legacy was her tenacity and devotion to prayer. If you knew her, you would be prayed for by her. One of her favorite activities was her prayer walks through her beloved Morrisdale neighborhood.
Ann had a very kind heart and the gift of encouragement which she used often. She loved writing poetry, the color purple, the beach, random dancing, chocolate-covered jelly candy, reading, cross-stitching, and coffee.
She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Bedford. In her younger years, she was very active with the Catholic Daughters and was a trained Stephens Minister. She was also very active in the Pro-Life Movement.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her five children: Steven Miller, Susan Thompson, Mark Miller, and his wife Joni, Joan O’Brien and her husband Hal, and Linda Butler and her husband Ron. She also leaves her beloved grandsons: Michael Miller and his wife Valerie, Christopher Miller and his wife Megan, Kevin O’Brien, and Will O’Brien.
Her precious great-granddaughters are Sophia Grace Miller (Mike and Valerie) and Elizabeth Anne Miller (Chris and Megan).
She also leaves her two treasured brothers Joeseph Manza and his wife Kathy, and Robert Manza and his wife Sharon. Joe and Bobby blessed Ann with 6 amazing nieces including Lori, Debbie, Dina, Sherry, Liz, and Christina, and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Ann cherished Glenn’s family, and his Pennsylvania roots as well. She leaves behind sister-in-law Shirley Starner, nephew Michael Starner, nieces Deb Shue, Cheryl Deardorff, and Christine Miller along with numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
The family thanks and praises God for Ann’s life, and the impact it had on His Kingdom.
