Ms. Angela Gutierrez

Angela P. Gutierrez of New Braunfels TX, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at her home in Euless, TX. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all that knew and loved her.

She was born on October 2, 1935 in New Braunfels, TX to Paulina and Eduardo Pineda. She was the fourth child of fourteen brothers and sisters. She loved sharing her stories of caring for her siblings, running races (which she said she always won), making stacks and stacks of tortillas and traveling to Michigan, Ohio, Colorado and East Texas helping her parents out in the fields (las piscas) as a teenager. She married Santiago “Jimmy” Gutierrez in Warsaw, Ohio on October 5, 1957 and had six children. One of her greatest accomplishments was to see her six children graduate high school and was very proud when that dream came true. Angela dedicated herself to raising her beloved children. Along with being a mom, she also worked for HEB ISD for 15 years.

Angela is survived by her sons Santiago Gutierrez Jr, Edward Gutierrez, daughter Concepcion “Connie” (Miguel) Moreno, son Jose “Tony” (Leticia) Gutierrez, and daughter Mary Carmen (Sergio) Gutierrez. Grandchildren, Vanessa, Matthew, Ruben Ben, Paul Jordan, Ashley, Christopher, Alicia, Luis, Isabel, Joseph and Ana. Great-grandchildren, Mary, Adam, Jonah, Nathaniel, Pablo and Pilar Margarita. Five sisters, Serafina Ledesma, Teresa Martinez, Maria Sanchez, Agustina Hernandez and Guadalupe Saldana. She is also survived by four brothers Valente Pineda, Martin Pineda, Jesus Pineda and Juan Pineda. Along with several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Santiago Gutierrez and her son Ruben Gutierrez. Preceded in death also by her parents, Paulina and Eduardo and her brothers Eduardo Jr. Eustacio, Onesimo and Frank Pineda.

Visitation for Angela Gutierrez will be held from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on April 6, 2021 with a Rosary at 5:30 at J.E Foust & Sons in Grapevine, TX. The Funeral Mass for Angela will be held at 10:00 am at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 3713 E. Harwood Road Bedford, TX. The burial will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, TX.
