James was born on April 18, 1980 in Bryan, TX. He spent most of his life in Bryan-College Station. In 2014 he moved to the Houston area. He was a beloved husband to Jean My Pham. They were married February 19 and have spent almost thirteen years married and dated three years prior to being married.
James loved his family, friends, movies, and being outdoors. He also had a great passion for music, especially heavy metal. His favorite band was Pantera. James was a quiet person until you got to know him. Sometimes he could be the life of the party, while other times he liked to sit back and listen to everyone. He loved it when it rained, the sound of rain was very soothing and peaceful to him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Melba Jeanette Franklin, and his grandparents, Roy Lee and Claudia Mae Franklin, and Paul and Evelyn Johnson.
James is survived by his devoted wife, Jean My Pham; father, William Harold Johnson; sisters, Christine and husband Scott Tarver, Jennifer and husband Charlie Weltens; four nephews; and many loving in-laws.
