Dr. Curtis Kaiser, age 55, passed away on June 27, 2024 in College Station, Texas. He was born August 31, 1968, in Lansing, Michigan to Ronald and Darlene Kaiser. He was preceded in death by his mom, Darlene Kaiser.
Curtis called College Station home for 44 years. He graduated from A&M Consolidated High School in 1986 and Texas A&M University in 1991 with a B.S. in Economics before receiving his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1996 from the University of Texas Dental School in Houston. He graduated as a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Fraternity. In 1997, Curtis returned to Aggieland, purchasing a dental practice in South College Station. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association and the Brazos Valley District Dental Association.
Curtis was a caring and compassionate person and dentist. Smiling and happy patients were his goal. He gave back to the community by offering dental care to children from Still Creek Ranch. He also enjoyed providing Texas A&M University students with shadowing opportunities.
Family was the most important thing to Curtis. In 1995, he married Stephanie Schulte, and they had two children: Kristin born in 2000 and Connor in 2002. In 2018, Curtis married Sabrina Farinola and began the next chapter in their lives. They shared a common interest in outdoor activities and helped keep each other active. Curtis treasured his children and embraced every moment with them. His love for and pride in them was evident to anyone who knew him. As a loving dad, he spent many hours and traveled across many states to cheer them on at numerous events and sponsored their many softball and baseball teams. His family was not complete without his dogs. Curtis has always had a love for animals, having many dogs throughout his life. He always said that Bella was his best friend.
In addition to his family, Curtis loved sports, cars, and all things outdoors. As an athlete he earned state honors in soccer at A&M Consolidated High School and countless All-Tournament and All-State awards while playing for numerous local and competitive traveling slow pitch softball teams. Physical fitness was important to Curtis, and for more than 30 years he maintained his membership and workout schedule at Gold’s Gym.
Cars! Curtis never saw a vintage car he didn’t like. He went to local and national car shows dreaming of buying all vintage models. Ford Mustangs were his preference starting with his first, a classic 1964 model, to his current, a 2004 Cobra.
Curtis loved to travel to the mountains in the summertime and the beaches in the winter. He was always planning his next beach vacation. In the mountains, fishing and mountain hiking made him happy. Sitting by a warm evening campfire completed his mountain day. Catching white bass in Texas or trout in Colorado made him smile. He loved telling the tree branch story about the time he fell from a branch into the creek while trying to retrieve a fishing lure.
His passing has left a hole in many hearts. A celebration of his life will be held July 30, 2024 at 4 pm with a prayer service at 5:30 pm at Memorial Funeral Chapel, 2901 Texas Ave S, in College Station. Donations in his name may be made to the St Jude’s Children Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. See https://www.stjude.org/
