Christopher Maurice Idlebird II

Christopher M. Idlebird, II (Gentle Giant), of College Station, passed away October 22, 2017 at the age of 19. A celebration of Christopher’s life will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 28th at Christ United Methodist Church in College Station. Interment will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, October 28th at Forest Park East in Webster, Texas.

Chris was born May 10, 1998 in Lake Jackson, Texas, the son of Wendy and Christopher M. Idlebird. Chris played football and basketball while he was in junior high school. He was a 2017 graduate of College Station High School and was enrolled in the Culinary Arts Program, earning a Certificate in Culinary Arts. Chris had a personality that was bigger than life. Although he was a homebody, Chris loved his family and friends and was very lovable himself. He had a quick wit and loved making people laugh.

Chris leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Wendy Idlebird of Houston; father, Christopher M. Idlebird of East St. Louis, IL; brother, Eric Smith; sisters, Makayla Idlebird, and Kiera Idlebird; grandparents, Michael Smith, Janie Harris, Lavern Idlebird; great grandmother, Helen Harris; aunts, Christie Idlebird, Tonjia Idlebird; uncles, Shawn Smith, Stanford Idlebird, Stanley Mitchell; and Niki Bejarano-Lopez, who he considered his 2nd mom; numerous cousins and other extended family members and numerous friends.
