Zeona Taylor, of Cocoa, Florida, passed away Saturday March 17, 2018. She was 91 years old. Known to most as Zonie, she was born on October 18, 1926 in Rice Lake, Wisconsin to Ralph and Zelma Sutliff.
Zonie will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Mom to Gail Diffendorfer. Step-mom to Barbara and George Ziz, Frank and Charlene Taylor, Gail and Al Simmons. Gramma to Michael Stuart, Jill Stuart, Jon Stuart, Sara and Emmett Saleet, Emily and Will Byrne, and Ryan Pigg. Gramma to 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. Zeona was preceded in death by her husband Laverne Diffendorfer and daughter Vicki Stuart, also husband John "Jack" Taylor. Zonie was very active in the square dance community. Jack and Zonie hosted the "Garage Gang" square dance group for lessons and fun dancing every Monday night in their garage for 27 years. They also served as officers in square dance at the state and national level.
Zeona will have a graveside funeral service at Brevard Memorial Park at 10am on Saturday March 24, 2018 where she will be laid to rest. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Disabled American Veterans or Toys for Tots would be greatly appreciated.
