Bonnie earned an AA degree and worked at Parrish as a registered nurse for 35 years. She was passionate about looking to learn more in her field and was a devoted nurse during her time at the hospital. She retired to enjoy her family, especially her grandchildren, who she shared a special bond with. A perfect day for Bonnie always included her family, a good book(often, medical and nursing books), and enjoyed working outside and gardening. She was devoted to her church, New Fellowship Baptist Church, and previously sang in the choir. She was also a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary and the Brevard Chapter of the Nurses Association.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of nearly 45 years, Vincent H. Cerrato III; mother, Dorothy Gove; brother, Charles Gove; son, Robert Cerrato (wife, Christina); daughter: Melinda "Mindy" Cerrato; and four grandchildren: Shanice, Callie, Rhett, and Reece. She was a friend to all who met her and will be deeply missed.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 6-8PM. The funeral service will be held Friday, July 20, 2018 at 2PM. All services will be held at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home: 5475 N US 1, Cocoa, FL 32927.
