Willie Everett Martin

Willie Everett Martin, 81, of Lake Jackson TX, passed away from this life on December 12, 2015. Willie was born to loving parents Leonard & Elizabeth Martin on December 3, 1934 in Ville Platte, Louisiana. Willie married Jane Warren on July 12, 1956 and together they celebrated 59 years of marriage.

Willie proudly served his country in the United States Army. Upon his honorable discharge, began working in his professional career at Dow Chemical as a Safety Inspector where he performed dutifully for more than 35 years before retiring in 1990.

In his spare time Willie celebrated his life with his love of music: he was a member of the Johnny B and the Good Guys for over thirty years, and he served at times as the Music Director at First Baptist Oyster Creek, Second Baptist Lake Jackson, First Baptist Richwood, and Brazosport Baptist Temple.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Leonard and Elizabeth Martin; and a brother, Louis Martin.

Willie is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Jane Martin; his daughter Cindy (husband Stephen) Neighbours; son James Martin; grandson Logan Neighbours; and his sister, Lillie Hock.

A visitation of friends and family will be held on Wednesday December 16 2015 at Restwood Funeral Home from 6pm to 8pm.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday December 17 2015 at Brazosport Baptist Temple, 1203 County Rd 205, Angleton, TX 77515, starting at 10am.

Willie Martin will be laid to rest following funeral services in Restwood Memorial Park.
