Martha Chacon

They celebrated their 40th anniversary earlier this year. Their marriage was filled with joy and happiness, and their love for each other saw them through her courageous fight to survive a brain aneurysm and her nearly 9 year battle with ovarian cancer. The Good Lord called her home on August 25, 2013, surrounded by her loved ones.

She is preceded in death by, Jose and Cristobal Perez (grandparents), Leonarda P. and Herminio Rangel (grandparents), Christopher John Rangel (brother), Leonard Rangel (brother), Felix Rangel Sr. (father), Rogelio Chacon (brother-in-law), Gerardo Sr. and Alicia Chacon (father and mother-in-law).

Left to cherish her memory are, husband Gerardo Chacon, Jr., her mother Concepcion Rangel, daughters Connie Chacon Selby and husband Jarrod, Sarah Chacon and Lisa Chacon, grandchildren, Marcello Samora, Jr., Ethan Bruce, Haylee Samora, and Jeremiah Samora, siblings, Florence Rangel, Shirley Albarado and husband Louie, Angie Rios and husband Juan, Felix Rangel, Jr., Carolyn Centeno, Mary Aluizo, Patrick Rangel, and Patricia Solis and husband Javier, in-laws, Maria Serbantez, Sarah Mendoza, Clemente Chacon and wife Celia, Dolores Navarro, and Alice Hodge, god daughter, Luanna Ruiz and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 5:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Restwood Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, August 30, 2013, at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Restwood Memorial Park with pallbearers Felix Rangel, Jr., Patrick Rangel, Marcello Samora, Jr., Ethan Bruce, Lupe Serbantez, Jr., Chris Serbantez, Jarrod Selby, Phil Huxford and honorary pallbearer Jeremiah Samora.
