Karen Amy (Young) Tyson

Karen Amy (Young) Tyson, of Brazoria, Texas was born Friday, February 10, 1967 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Alfred Ross and Mary Laverne Marrs Young. She died Thursday, July 19, 2012 in Angleton, Texas at the age of 45 years, 5 months and 9 days. Karen was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and the best mother. She loved life enjoyed spending time outdoors. She had a fondness for animals, and looked forward to taking care of the peacocks, duck and chickens. She would accept any stray, including a goat! Karen is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ross and Amy Young, formerly of Houlka, Mississippi; mother, Mary Lavern Young and her brother, Michael Ross Young. She is survived by her father, Alfred Ross Young of Brazoria, Texas; husband, Dennis Tyson of Brazoria; children, Matthew Tyson of Splendora, Texas, Dilan Tyson of Brazoria, Texas, Kade Tyson of Brazoria, Texas, Jessica Tyson-Norris of Angleton, Texas;; brother, Johnnie Young (Linda) of Houston, Mississippi; sisters, Debbie Young (Bobbie Warneke) of Brazoria, Texas, Denise Kemp (Billy) of Brazoria, Texas, Diane Weatherford (Denny) of Tupelo, Mississippi; grandchildren, Tara & Braxton Norris; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Hallmark, Jake Young, Michael Alford, Katherine Kemp and Brittany Weatherford; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 22, 2012, at Restwood Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be Monday, July 23, 2012, at 2:00 pm at the Restwood Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Larry J. Kerley officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Park with Ernie Hutchins, Michael Alford, Matthew Tyson, Johnny Young, Billy Kemp and Kelly Little serving as pallbearers. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staffs of I. P. H. Hospice Care, M. D. Anderson and Cypress Woods for the loving care shown to Karen. The family has requested that memorial contributions in memory of Karen be forwarded to I. P. H. Hospice Care, 135 East Hospital Drive, Angleton, Texas 77515.
