Donald Earl Riley

Donald Riley, of Clute, Texas, passed away on November 5th, 2023. Donald was born in Freeport, Texas, on June 9th, 1934, to the late Leonard Earl and Ruth Ophelia Riley.

Donald and Clara recently celebrated 71 years of loving marriage. Donald worked 35 years at DOW Chemical. He enjoyed camping with his wife, who were a long-time members of the Good Sam’s Club. Donald was always there for his family as well as anyone else that needed a helping hand. He always said he would travel anywhere as long as his beautiful wife would go with him.

Donald was preceded in death by his Father Leonard Earl Riley; mother Ruth Ophelia Riley; and daughters Cathy Broaddus and Rhonda Riley.

Donald is survived by his grandchildren Jeb Broaddus, and wife Cindy Broaddus, Breanna Curry, and Husband Jason Curry, Kate Hoagland; great-grandchildren William Broaddus, Austin Broaddus, Emily Broaddus, Jonathan Hoagland, Aiden Curry, Elijah Long, and Liam Curry.

A celebration of Donald’s life will Take place at Restwood Funeral Home in Clute, Texas, on November 10th, 2023. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Restwood Funeral Home. A private burial will be held immediately graveside.

Pallbearers will be Jeb Broaddus, William Broaddus, Jason Curry, Aiden Curry, Mike Foshee, Johnathan Hoagland, and Honorary Pallbearers Liam Curry and Austin Broaddus.
