Susan Rodgers Hansen, age 68, of Fresno, California entered into rest on Thursday, July 25, 2024. Susan was born in Fresno, California to Mary Rodgers and Johnnie Rodgers. Susan lived her life with a zest and spirit that touched everyone she met.
Known for her spicy personality and excellent sense of humor, Susan was a beloved figure in her family. She was a wizard at "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy!", watching nightly and answering questions along with the contestants. Her passions extended to a diverse array of interests including collecting teacups, vintage glass, and dolls. A true admirer of Thomas Kinkade, Susan's appreciation for his work inspired her own paintings. She also found joy in making crafts and cooking for those she loved.
A proud alumna of Roosevelt High School, class of 1974, Susan was deeply proud of her Fresno roots. She loved listening to old country music; her favorite artists included The Judds and Vince Gill.
Susan is survived by her daughter, Nicole Benton (David), and her son, Adam Hansen (Jo Ann Walters); her sister, Mary Jensen; her partner, Paul Fisher; her niece, Kim Campos-Quistian (Steven); her nephew, David Rodgers; and her cherished pet dog, Lacey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Johnnie Rodgers; and her brothers John, Jerry, Albert, and Ricky Rodgers.
Susan also leaves behind six grandchildren and a great grandchild on the way, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever cherish her memory.
Susan will be remembered for her vibrant personality, her witty sense of humor, and the indelible mark she left on those who knew her.
A Celebration of Life for Susan will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Clovis Hills Community Church, 10590 North Willow Avenue, Clovis, California 93619.
