Born in Long Beach, Ca in 1930, Robert Joseph Zwirtz went to rest in the Lord on January 23, 2013. He was a beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend. RZ graduated with a degree in forestry from the U of Idaho and a graduate degree from UC Berkeley. He was employed by the U.S. Forest Service and worked in timber management from the Trimmer station. In 1969, he met Alma Rudolph. They wed in 1970 and were married until her death in 2010. Bob is survived by his sister, Cherrill Krueger and her husband Tom; of Lakewood, Ca; and his step children, Eric Rudolph of Port Orchard, Wa and Lisa Rudolph and her partner Julie Laird of Fresno. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at the Redbank Cemetery, on East Shaw Avenue in Clovis, Ca, on Thursday, January 31, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor's favorite charity
