She was a loving, caring mother, devoted grandmother, and a loyal friend. Lucy Samaniego Aguilar was born in Fabens, Texas on December 13, 1937, to the late Raymundo Samaniego and Refugio Samaniego Giner. She was surrounded by her family as she was surrendered into the loving arms of Jesus on September 18, 2021 after a long fought battle with cancer.
Lucy was raised in Fabens, Texas, where she attended Fabens High. After she moved to California, she attended Fresno State University from which she received her Bachelor’s Degree. Her love of children led her in to a career in education. She taught first grade at Kings River Elementary for 25 years.
Lucy met and married her beloved husband, Robert Aguilar. Together, they lived life to the fullest, enjoying travel adventures with each other and with their girls.
To know Lucy, was to love her. She was truly one of a kind. Lucy was a devout Christian who lived her life for the Lord. Her life was a testament to her faith, and her legacy will live on through all the lives she touched.
Her Greatest love was for her family and her family adored her. She cherished her daughters: Anna, Felicia, and Mandy; her sons in law: Dave, Gary and Rich, and her beloved grandchildren: Danielle Cantu, Chelsi Eaton, Madison Eaton, Holli Eaton, and Courtney Clement.
