He was first and foremost known for his love for God. His family was the center of his life and made sure they knew it every day. When he could, you would find Ervin outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, hiking, or traveling. He touched the lives of so many and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Ervin's life was characterized by his presence and dedication to all those in his life. He would do everything he could to be at his grandchildren’s sporting or school events (and photographing every moment.) This didn’t stop with his grandchildren as Ervin was Papa or Pops to so many friends who had become family. A significant amount of these relationships came from his Fire department family where he spent 35 years serving his community. He will be remembered for his love for all those he met and for sharing the word of God with whomever would listen. He could meet a stranger on the street and by the end of the conversation, be friends.
He is preceded in death by his father Joe and Doris Justin.
He is survived by his wife Sandy Justin, his brother Joe Justin, sister Rebecca Justin, daughter Brook Justin-Silveira, son Josh Justin, daughters-in-law Jessica Justin and Dolly Justin-Silveira, and his four grandchildren: Ari, Olivia, Atticus, and Everly.
A Celebration of Life for Ervin will be held Friday, December 20th 10:30AM at CrossCity Community Church with a reception to follow. His family understands it may be difficult for many to attend due to the short notice and the holiday season, so condolences may be added and sent through this website:
