William J. Duncan “Bill”, age 83 of Clinton Township, Michigan passed away at home on November 28, 2022. He was the beloved husband of 61 years to Patricia; Loving father of Mark (Deborah) and Beth Verkuilen (Bud Des Grandchamp); Devoted grandfather of Mallory, Kellie, Cassidy, Dillon, Alec, and Carly.
Bill was born on June 7, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan to Cecil and Madelyn Duncan. He married the love of his life, Pat, on September 30, 1961. Over the course of 61 years of marriage, they raised a family, which has grown to continue their legacy of love. Bill worked for 38 years with Mead Corporation, retiring as Vice President. In his free time, Bill enjoyed family get-togethers, golfing with family and friends, playing cards, boating and other typical summer activities in Northern Michigan, and traveling to numerous destinations with family and friends. As a native Detroiter, Bill supported the Detroit Lions as a season ticket holder, and admired classic cars, particularly his 1938 Dodge Truck. He had many happy times with life-long friends and family, and he will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
A brief in-state visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 11 AM, until time of funeral mass at 11:30 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 95 Market Street Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Please do not send flowers. Instead, donations are appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Bill’s memory.
