He was preceded in death by his mother, Rita; brother, Daniel; step-father, John Cowen; and father, William. He is survived by many extended family members.
Bill wrote this at age 19 in recognition of the power of God in his life:
A Fork in the Path
I spent half my life searching for what doesn't exist.
So enthralled in the lie that the truth was a myth.
I searched fear for truth and anger for bliss; but of all that I found the greatest was this.
The path that I'd chosen had not been in vain; for all of my life had not been the same.
The one that I found to be someone else and in finding you I found myself.
The family will greet guests from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with a 7:00pm Rosary Service on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd., Clinton Twp., Michigan. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, October 30 at the above location. Visitation from 10:30am until time of service. Interment following at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Twp.
