Viola Mae (Zillich) Bell, of Clinton Township, Michigan, born on May 6, 1945 to John and Delores Zillich in Wyandotte, Michigan, passed away at her home on June 1, 2023. Viola was a four-time cancer survivor and recently succumbed to her latest battle with ovarian cancer.
Viola was the beloved and devoted Wife of 60 years to Ronald Bell, Mother to Roland (Sandra) and Richard (Lisa), and Grandmother to Kayleigh, Zachary, Brandon, Sarah and the late Ethan.
Viola was an employee of the Mt. Clemens Community School District for 23 years, first at Seminole Junior High and later Seminole Elementary, as the lunch coordinator. She was an active member of the American Lutheran Church in Clinton Township. Viola also enjoyed being a dedicated volunteer for MCRest, the Salvation Army and several other local charities. She will be remembered most as a person who always put others before herself.
Viola will be laid to rest at Cadillac Memorial Cemetery during a private ceremony. A celebration of Life will be held on June 24, 2023, with a memorial service starting at 11 AM at the American Lutheran Church, 38795 Mulberry, Clinton Township, MI 48036. A luncheon will follow immediately after the memorial service in the fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, Viola requested donations to be made to her beloved American Lutheran Church.
