Patrick, better known as Pat in his youth, was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 13, 1943. Though Patrick was born into a life of challenges and obstacles, it is safe to say he triumphed to live a full life through his own perseverance. He worked for 35 years of dedicated service with the Detroit Medical Center Hospitals as an environmental services specialist. Patrick was able to buy his own condo, maintained a driver's license and was able to live independently for most of his adult life. He was an artist, traveled with friends and family, researched family genealogy, enjoyed history (more like a history buff), and loved 50s music, especially, Perry Como, Jerry Vale and Rodger Williams. Most of all, he had an intense love of family.
Patrick leaves behind a legacy of love from his family. He is the beloved brother of Frances Bojakowski of Clinton Township, MI, Marjory Foran (Friend Don) of Harrison Township, MI, Eileen Carpenter of Livonia, MI, Suzanne Carpenter of Clinton Township, MI, Gerald Carpenter (Diana) of Berkley, MI, Daniel Carpenter (Micheal) of Sterling Heights, MI, Edward Carpenter (Jo) of Utica, MI, and Anne Carpenter of Warren, MI; Cherished uncle of a multitude of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Catherine Carpenter, and siblings, Mary, James, William, Michael, Grace, Jimmy, Billy and Timothy.
A visitation will take place on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 2-8 PM with a memorial service at 5 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI.
