Her loving husband, Glenn, preceded her in death in 1999. She missed him dearly until her death. They were married 49 wonderful years with Glenn passing just 8 months before their 50th wedding anniversary. Geri was the loving mom of Gary (Elizabeth), David (Jan) and James (Lisa) and proud grandmother of Bryan, Lauren, Eric, Courtney, Kyle and Joshua. She adored her three great grandchildren; Logan, Emma and Nora. She was dearest sister of Richard Buck (Marie) and the late Gerald Buck. She was also very close to Sandie (Mike) McGuinness from her adoptive family throughout her life.
Geri travelled extensively across the United States with her husband after his retirement and ultimately they settled into a retirement community in Fort Myers Beach where they spent many winters together. After Glenn's passing, she continued to be a snowbird for another 18 years, spending time in both Michigan and Florida. She had many hobbies over the years including various crafts, scrapbooking, knitting, cooking, being a Welcome Wagon hostess and Meals on Wheels volunteer.
Geri cherished her kids, grandkids and great grandkids always looking forward to holidays where she could spend time with them. She was able to spend her last Thanksgiving with the entire family just two days before her death.
Geri was especially grateful to find her brother Richard at the age of 92. They had never met prior to that as she was adopted at a very young age. An ancestry.com DNA match in 2018 helped make the connection and they became very close friends until her death.
