Mr. Eugene J. Barczynski, age 81, a resident of Clinton Township, died April 11, 2010 at Lakepointe Senior Care & Rehab Center, Clinton Township. He was born March 22, 1929 in Detroit, Mich. A high school graduate, he was a Corporal in the U.S. Army. He loved his grandchildren, liked crossword puzzles, lottery tickets, took pride in his Polish heritage, bowling and following Tiger baseball. Eugene retired from the U.S. Post Office. He was a member of the Usher Club at St. Valerie Catholic Church. He is survived by his children, Nancy (Doug Perry) Wilt, Barbara (David) Parrott; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Arlene (James) Tines. He was predeceased by wife, Janet L. and son, Brian; parents, Joseph and Mary Barczynski. Visitation Wednesday, 2-8 p.m. at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township. Funeral Service Thursday, 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial Resurrection Cemetery.
