Donna, even though you and I only really knew each other through my sister, you are a huge part of our family. I thank you for your strength and want your family to know how grateful ours is for your part in our struggles. I have no doubt you're in heaven and can't wait to get to know you better when my time comes. Your legacy will live forever. Thank you and you are surely missed. God bless your family.

It took me several days to think about what I wanted to say or what memory I wanted to share....but the truth is, there are no words and there are too many memories. Just know that I think you are the strongest woman I know and I love you so much. Until we meet again...... 

I'm sorry it took me so long to respond to this post my friend,  but I  felt it would mean a forever good bye ,I seen all the people who came to show their respect for you, and realized you left a  part of you in all of our hearts, and your memories will live on. But even though I know your an Angel in Heaven now, and all your pain is gone, I'm going to miss you soooo much, I know you're with my mom because you both left this world the same day,and our family will be forever grateful for the inspiration you gave us through that difficult time, you pulled me through even thogh you were going through your own difficult time, I think I can say from all of us that our Salon family will never be the same, we just have to remember your always there in spirit with us!And I will always treasure the time we had, and thank you for all the great memories!Love you forever Donna!

When I had heard the news about Donna, my heart had completely shattered. I immediately went down to my knees in tears praying for her, her family, and friends. I’ve known Donna for a huge majority of my life and she had became like a second mother to me. I remember always visiting the salon with my sister while our mom was working and my first thing would always be to give Donna a huge hug as soon as we walked through the door. We would always strike up a good conversation about almost anything and end it with a good laugh and smile. Thank you, Donna for everything you’ve helped me with and through, thank you for the heart felt conversations, thank you for all the great cups of coffee, Just thank you for everything. I love you and you will always be in my heart forever! Say hi to grandma for me and make her a good cup of coffee! 

It has taken me many days to even try to write something, my heart is just torn apart. Donna I love you more than you will ever know , your absence will be felt forever.  One of my favorite memories of you is when we couldn't remember the word pancreas, it took us nearly all day to figure it out! Any time after that ,when we couldn't remember the name of something we just yelled pancreas!  It always sent us into fits of laughter ,while everybody looked at us like we were nuts!  Until we meet again dear friend.... pancreas!!

I am so very sorry for Donna’s family and for all of the customers who will miss her sweet smile and gentle nature.  She was usually the first person you saw when entering the salon, what a calming presence she made.  This is just a most difficult time for that close group. My deepest sympathy.

I enjoyed our chats when I came into the salon for an appointment.  She always was smiling and kind and it made me happy to share life stories with her. I certainly considered her a friend. She will be missed greatly. My heart is broken.  

Bruce and I are so sorry to hear about Donna's  passing.  We will miss her beautiful smile.  She always had time to talk with all of her clients.  I am a regular Friday client.  Usually 10 minutes after I arrive  then Donna would come in.  I mentioned that to my hairdresser on Friday that it was strange she wasn't in yet.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to her daughters, grandson, brothers and all the people who work at the salon.  Now Donna is going to be a beautiful angel watching over her family and friends. My heart is breaking for Donna's family and her loving salon family. I worked for Donna for a short time a few years back and I got to know her and her salon family very well. The Cutmine crew is such a great group of people that have been together for so long with Donna. They all loved her so much and it showed. She was a great caring lady, with a heart of gold and she fought this ugly disease for way too long. She was so strong and so loving in every way. She will be missed dearly. I am sending my love and prayers for you all. May you Rest in Peace in Heaven with the rest of the angels Donna.

Donna I will miss you and your smile. We had a great time in Jamaica on our girls trip!  You were the best boss and also a great friend.  My heart is heavy and I am praying for your loving family.  Gone too soon but I will never ever forget you!

I am so shocked to hear the news of Donna’s passing. I’ll miss her infectious  laugh and conversations while getting my hair done. She treated everybody that walked through  the door of her Salon as if you’ve been life  long friends. I am praying for peace for her friends and family as they grieve such a wonderful kind hearted woman. 

There was nothing more wonderful than seeing Donna's beautiful smile and sharing conversation with her. She always took the time to care for others with true empathy and a sincere heart. 

Our trips to the salon held special times for us, as this was one of Michael's VERY favorite places to be. Donna always greeted him like she did any other customer, with a big smile and by name; which was so amazing to him and certainly to us. 

There aren't enough positive words to describe her amazing qualities; which were a treasure to all who knew her. Her kindness, joy and smile always lead the way. 

May God be with her family and give to them the peace and comfort they need during this difficult time. 

She will be forever remembered in our hearts, with love. 💜💛💚💗

Donna was my first real boss and I couldn't have asked for a better one. She let me work around my class schedule, understood when homework kept me away from work, and genuinely made me feel like part of her family. I am shocked and devastated to know that I will never see her again on a visit to Michigan. I am grateful that I was able to see her this past summer and spend too short of a time catching up.

Thank you, Donna, for showing me what a leader is and for always supporting me. Jenny and Kelly, I am so very sorry for your loss. She was a fantastic mom and it was always obvious how much she adored you.

My heart is so broken  ! Donna you showed your friends and family  ,  you have strength and the courage  to go through what you had to endure for the last 20 yrs . You always had a listening ear , when I talk to you about what was going on in my life . You always had s positive spin on everything. I Thank you for that ! I will always cherish the lunch we had together on Thursday, not knowing it would be our last . We joked about how dry our chicken shwarma  cause we  did want to order the garlic sauce  , cause we didn’t want to smell like garlic  !  I will hang on to that memory and will smile , and so many more  .Love  Connie 

She kept her head when all about her were losing theirs and blaming it on her.
She could trust herself when all doubted her, but made allowance for their doubting too.
She could wait, and not be tired by waiting, or by being lied about; she didn’t deal in lies.
She could dream and not make dreams her master.
She could think and not make thoughts her aim.
She could meet with triumph and disaster, and treat those two imposters just the same.
She could bear to hear the truth she spoke, twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
And watch the things she gave her life to, broken, 
And stoop and build them up with worn-out tools.
She could make one heap of all her winnings, and risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start all over again at her beginnings and never breathe a word about her loss.
She could force her heart and nerve and sinew to serve her long after they were gone,
And held on when there was nothing left in her, except the will which said to her “hold on.”
She could walk with crowds and keep her virtue, 
Walk with kings and not lose her common touch.
She was an angel among us, a true inspiration.

I will be forever grateful for you, my friend.  
Thank you for taking me into your heart and never letting go.
I will match this honor, always, by aspiring to be the kind of person you showed me I want to be.

Donna I went to bed last night with a Broken Heart and  when I woke up I Prayed it was a nightmare but it wasn’t 😢  Sixteen years of knowing you was not long enough for me! We all needed more time with you but I guess God needs you more. 
 Donna I will cherish all the time I had with you! You were always there with a ear to listen to me when ever I had a problem and a shoulder to cry on when I needed. The last few years I only saw you a few times a month and when we would see each other  you always wanted to know what I had been up to and how my Family was and after I was done telling you everything I would ask how you were and it was always I am good and share a little but then always turn it back to me. As much as you endured you handled it with such grace and strength you are one of the strongest people I know. 
 My Heart breaks for your beautiful family that I know you were so proud of! But know that all of us will be there for them during this difficult time just like you were always there for us. 
   The one thing that will get me through this is knowing that you are no longer in pain and that you are Celebrating this Christmas with your Mother and Father who I know you missed so much.  
 Your were never my Boss you were my Friend and I will miss you so so much 😢  I Thank God that he brought you into my life and for all the fun times  I had with you and most of all that I was able to give you a Hug and wish you a Merry Christmas 🎄 Until we meet again Sweet Donna Rest In Peace I love you ❤️  

There are certain people that make a huge impact in our lives, and you were that person for me. You were truly an inspiration for anyone fighting an illness.  No matter what was thrown at you, you dealt it with grace and dignity.
I feel so fortunate to have been able to call you my friend. Your love and inspiration will live on through your wonderful  children.

Donna held a very special place in my heart.

I love how she always made room in her heart for people and animals.  I love how proud she was of her girls and grandson.  I love how she set her problems and pain aside to listen and try to help others. I love how she fought for so many years to survive cancer and rarely complained.  I love her compassion. I love her smile. I love her laugh.

Rest In Peace Donna, you loved, you fought, you persevered.  God has called you to join him, be happy.  You will truly be missed but never forgotten.  I feel privileged to have been able to call you my friend and to have loved you.  It breaks my heart to use the word loved.

I loved, respected and admired Donna so much. She was a beautiful person! She was so genuine and often motherly towards me. She was  comforting, always made  me feel safe and never alone during hard times. She accepted my crazy sense of humor. We had so many great laughs at the salon together. I loved seeing her smile.  

She whole heartedly cared and loved all the people around her. Her girls were the love of her life.  She adored them. She spoke about all of her family with such a kind heart and so much love. 

For years she was a great inspiration to so many people.  I admired her strength and perseverance. I always appreciated her openness to share her story with so many others fighting cancer. She spread hope to all of us for over 20 years. She always had a smile on her face.

She was an AMAZING woman! I will miss her dearly. 





Donna, strong and determined lady who taught every battle with courage from her friends, daughters, customers to the salon. A bright spirit who never stopped smiling through her challenges. I admired her and will miss her her congeniality and cordial smile when visiting the salon. 
Rest now Donna for you won the battle of all the challenges thrown your way! You did it  with your smile, grace  and laughter.
