Dawn had a love of travel. She explored destinations such as Hawaii (all six islands several times), many of the islands in the Caribbean on cruises to the Bahamas (Nassau being one of her favorites), and traveled overseas to many places including France, Italy, and Israel. She also enjoyed the beauty Michigan had to offer and enjoyed spending time with her family in Houghton Lake as well as traveling to Traverse City, Petoskey, and venturing up to the U.P.
She loved her family more than anything. She prided herself in the success of her children. She enjoyed building memories with them beginning at an early age- through their extracurricular activities, supporting them in their college and grad school endeavors, becoming professionals, and embarking on parenthood.
Becoming a grandmother was one of her proudest moments. She was present in her granddaughter's life from the very moment she was born, and the joy she had for being a grandmother radiated from her.
She had an infectious laughter and smile that could bring joy to anyone that had the pleasure of meeting her and being around her.
She was raised Catholic and was a parishioner at St. Mary’s. It is comforting for everyone to know she was a believer in Jesus Christ. This is not the end, this is just a transformation. Her love and memories will forever be cherished. We are thankful and grateful for a life well lived and well loved. She will be dearly missed. Forever in our hearts, our Angel.
