Daniel J. Hill, age 73, passed away on September 27, 2020; born to Harvey and Rose Hill on December 15th of 1946; beloved husband to Janice; dear dad to D.J. (Jennifer) Hill and Laurie (James) White; proud papa of Amanda White, Addison Hill, Alyssa White, Aleah and Drew Hill; loving brother to Thomas (Cindy) Hill, James (Diane) Hill, Harvey (Marie) Hill; cherished brother in law to Jeanne and Robert (Phyllis) Fairman; he is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Daniel was an avid sports fan, being one of U of M and DLS’ number one fans. Back in the 1980’s, Daniel became a season football ticket holder for the University of Michigan. He loved coaching and anything related to sports. Daniel worked at General Dynamics for over 45 years. There he shaped not only a career, but also cultivated many friendships. Daniel loved sports very much, but he loved his family and grandchildren even more.
The family will greet friends at Resurrection Cemetery on Friday, October 2nd at 1:30pm for a graveside funeral service beginning at 2:00pm. We will meet friends and family at the main gate off Clinton River Road and proceed to the graveside from there. The family requests everyone come dressed in business casual attire. A luncheon will follow graveside services at Ernie’s located at 16655 Nineteen Mile Road in Clinton Township from 3:00pm until 7:00pm to celebrate Daniel’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either the Wounded Warrior Project or the Michigan Humane Society.
