Cynthia Marie Minnick

She is the beloved mother of Michael Blastow; Cherished grandmother of Nicholas Hurford (Laura Buck), Trevor Hurford, Isaac Dunning, and Summer Dunning; Dear mother-in-law of Tom Dunning; Treasured sister of Janet Shovlin (Robert Dege), Gary Hurford (Leslie), Sheila Kirby (Joe) and Laura Hurford-Edmunds (Benjamin Vitale), and dearest sister-in-law of Vickie Hurford and Lawrence Semczak; Also survived by her second husband, William Minnick. Cynthia was preceded in death by her daughter Charlotte Hurford, grandson Samuel Dunning, siblings Michael Hurford, Joan Semczak, and Richard Hurford, and her first husband Allan Blastow.

Cindy was the rock of her family. She loved them fiercely, and always kept it real with them. Cindy didn’t lend any room for drama, she knew how to light up a room and be the life of the party with music, singing and dancing. She is going to be sorely missed.

A memorial visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 2-8 PM with a service at 5 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, Michigan.
