Arthur LeRoy Edson Jr.

Arthur LeRoy Edson Jr., of Clinton Township, Michigan passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at the age of 78. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Arthur was a devoted husband, accomplished serviceman, and active member of the Masonic community.

Arthur proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 30 years, beginning his service on September 6, 1963. He retired in October 1993 as an Operational Specialist Senior Chief (E-8). He earned his associate's degree from FCC Jacksonville, Florida, and was a lifelong learner who believed in the value of education and personal growth.

On November 3, 1979, Arthur married the love of his life Nancy, and together they shared 45 wonderful years filled with love, partnership, and cherished memories.

A dedicated Mason, Arthur held numerous prestigious positions throughout his life. He was a Past Master of the Caribbean Naval Lodge in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and Centerline #550 F&AM where he was honored as Mason of the Year. He also served as Past Thrice Illustrations Mason of Mt. Clemens Council #8, Past Master of Lodge 69 in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, Royal Arch Captain in Mt. Clemens.

Beloved husband of Nancy; devoted father of Cherilynn (Brett); proud grandpa of Harmony (Sergio); dear brother-in-law of James (Susan) Creagh; also survived by many cousins, extended family members, and friends.

The family will greet guests from 2:00pm until 8:00pm with a 6:00pm funeral service with military honors on Friday, December 13, 2024 at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd., Clinton Twp., Michigan.
