Alexa Jade Cristobal, age 19, of Sterling Heights, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on August 25, 2023. She is the beloved daughter of Beth Cristobal and Hernani Cristobal Jr; Adored younger sister of Michaela Cristobal; Treasured granddaughter of Arlene and Joseph Brister and Trinidad Kesselring and Hernani Cristobal Sr.; Sweet niece of Brian Brister; Cherished goddaughter of Ann Soule.
Alexa was a recent graduate of Henry Ford II High School in Sterling Heights, Class of 2022. As a student, Alexa enjoyed gymnastics, cheerleading, and participating in extracurricular organizations like the Asian Leaders Organization and the Future Educator Student Teaching program. She had decided that she wanted to become a 5th grade teacher, and was attending Central Michigan University for their education program. Outside of school, Alexa loved volunteering at I Heart Dogs Rescue and Animal Haven. She also loved that people thought she and her older sister Michaela, who is 19 months older, were twins. Alexa will be so missed by all, especially by her Mom, Sister, Grandma and Grandpa Brister, and her German shepherd dogs Blue and Anna.
A visitation for Alexa will be held Friday, September 1, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Alexa's memory may be made to I Heart Dogs Rescue and Animal Haven in Warren, Michigan. A link for donation is included below.
