Born in South Korea on December 7, 1938, she was the beloved wife of the late Song Ku Kang.
Soon Ja immigrated to the US in 1973 with her husband where they both held positions at Cheseborough Ponds in Clinton and were joined by their 5 daughters in 1975.
Song Ku tragically died in 1978 leaving Soon Ja a young widow whose total focus was to raise and care for her children so that they could achieve their dreams in America.
She is survived by her daughters, Insuk Kang Hainsworth (Paul), Hyesook Kang Troia (Kevin), Joan Kang, Su Kang and Terry Kang. Soon Ja was also blessed to have and be survived by three grandchildren; Cody, Alicia, Kiana and one great grandchild, Finley.
Calling hour for Soon Ja will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Swan Funeral Home, 80 E Main St, Clinton, Connecticut 06413. Following the calling hour will be a burial at 11:15 AM at Indian River Cemetery, Cemetery Rd, Clinton, CT 06413
